National Council
The next
meeting of NFEC's National Council
will take place on Friday 3 February,
at the Engineering Council
offices. The agenda is now
available in the Members Area
of this site. If there are any
particular points you would like to
see made in the discussions, please email

Conference, 24 &
25 November 2011, at
the Holiday
Inn, Coventry
was another
very successful
event!
Feedback will be

next event will also

Inn Coventry, taking
place on Thursday 31
May and Friday 1
June, 2012. Watch

NFEC
has another Life Member
At the recent Annual
General Meeting in Coventry Peter
Swindlehurst was proposed,
seconded and unanimously elected as
the third Life Member of NFEC.
He joins Bob Clarke and Bob
Millington in that capacity and
all agreed that Peter's award is
thoroughly merited.
Peter has had a close
association with the National Forum,
from its initial concept, through the
discussions on role and structure in
which he represented the Engineering
Council and ever since then as a
member of NFEC's National
Council. He also
contributed significantly to the
highly successful Dissemination
Project ,as a member of its Steering
Group and also in helping analyse the
project's outcomes and achievements.

We
must offer our apologies for the fact
that lately little new material has
been added to the site, except for the
In the News page.
Regrettably, Director Bob Clarke,
because of family circumstances, will no
longer be able to provide his support for
the site - something he has done for
the last two years and at no cost to
the National Forum.
As
a result, we need to bring in the
range of skills that full support for the
site needs to embody - IT, language
and understanding of the engineering
and education subjects and
issues. Bob was able to provide
them all, but they can of course be provided
separately - how about
you? If
you believe you can help, contact Alan
Gray - details below.
