NFEC Website Notice

To former members and friends of the National Forum of Engineering Centres (NFEC).

It is with regret that the Directors of NFEC announce that after 33 years of representing the Further Education, Engineering and related Technologies sector, NFEC has now closed.

The NFEC Directors have attempted to avoid this outcome and whilst being aware that NFEC closure leaves a significant gap in representation and voice for our sector; the decision to close NFEC has been made.

Broadly the decision to close rests primarily on financial reasons, NFEC was reliant of member subscriptions and residual funds from paid conferences and seminars; in recent years the popularity of the format that NFEC adopted has waned to the extent that continuation of the business is no longer viable.

We know that several members are involved in collaborative projects, facilitated through NFEC, we hope that these projects will continue and will carry a legacy of NFEC into the future.

We thank those of you who have supported NFEC over the years, those who have attended our many events and particularly those who have undertaken management roles and those who have delivered NFEC products over those many years.

We wish you well for your future endeavours.

The website will remain accessible until the end of this year and the resources within it will be available until that time.
