About NFEC

NFEC is here to raise standards and outcomes in engineering education. We bring engineering colleges and training providers together to share good practice, run events and seminars, and support one another across every region, so no institution has to improve alone.

Our mission

We exist to help education and training providers improve the standard of education and training. We do that in the most practical way we know: by bringing people together to share what works, region by region.

A relaunch, not a start

National Forum of Engineering Centres is the relaunch of NFEC. The name and identity are refreshed, but the purpose is the same one our members have valued for years: collegial, generous, and focused on good practice rather than gatekeeping.

How we are organised

A national office coordinates the federation and its events. Twelve regional networks each have a Chair and a Deputy Chair, elected from the membership, who run local seminars, share resources and represent their region.
